Hey Emily, I think you're on the money there. The health system is very slow to change, it had been fighting against remote consults and zoom consults until forced to...and then change occurred quickly (relatively quick). The defectors is probably critical as the system is effective at dispelling intruders who break into a very tightly held 'evidence based' model. At Wellteam, we're focused on building a system that supports traditional healthcare while focused on lifestyle intervention programs. Current (early) results suggest we might just make a dent where the healthcare system has failed...prevention of chronic disease in men. Love the newsletter and the predictions. Go well Emily.

Hey Troy - thanks for those great points and insights. That's it with change - it takes an emergency and/or moves at snails pace. And hopefully the defectors and new ways of thinking will open up the redesigning and re-examining of those processes. Great to hear about what you're doing at Wellteam :) chronic disease is a big underdressed issue

Really interested to read more of your thoughts on web3 and healthcare, and the complexity approach versus the reductionist approach to healthcare solutions.

Thanks Kate! Look I don't think the two necessarily have to be seperate. I'm all in favour of simplicity whenever possible. And current web2 practices in health are largely - in my opinion - usually WAY too complicated. Web3 might be complicated now, but as it evolves and has the eight ux and infrastructure - could potentially become easier. Who knows. But keep it simple stupid are words to live by 😂
